Teach the Positive Neuroplasticity Training (PNT)

How to Become a Teacher of the Positive Neuroplasticity Training

The goal of Positive Neuroplasticity is to foster a greater appreciation of deliberately learning from our experiences. Both in formal mental health and informal self-help, there’s a widespread assumption that people are like passive sponges for beneficial experiences such as gratitude, grit, or compassion, and somehow something will eventually sink in. But as Dr. Rick Hanson teaches, the negativity bias makes the brain like Velcro for bad experiences but Teflon for good ones. The conversion rate from states to traits is low for most people, which is frustrating and disheartening, and flattens healing and development.

“From therapists’ offices to corporate training centers, from high schools to human potential programs, it is frankly bizarre that so little attention has been paid to helping people be active agents in their own healing, growing, and awakening.”

Rick Hanson, Ph.D.

Loving, Knowing, and Growing

With a little skillful effort, we can engage our experiences in evidence-based ways that promote lasting changes in the brain and thus lasting improvements in mood, interpersonal skills, self-worth, and resilience. Modern life pushes and pulls us in many directions, so it is more important than ever to know how to build durable inner strengths.
